All mammals such as elephant, deer, bear, zebra etc. have external ears. The external part of the ear is called “pinna”. All mammals have this “pinna” except the most primitive mammals.
The outer ears of mammals help the animal identify sounds coming from different elevations. Mammals' ears absorb, reflect or diffract the sound waves because of their special structure.
