FINAL ANSWER:-

Gain% = 11.11 %

GIVEN:-

articles are brought at 2 for ₹ 15

and,

sold at 3 for ₹25

TO FIND:-

the Gain percentage

FORMULA USED:-

Gain % = \frac{gain}{CP} × 100

SOLUTION:-

cost at which 3 articles are sold  = ₹25

the cost of 1 cp of article = \frac{15}{2} = ₹ 7.5

∴ cp of 3 articles = ₹ 7.5 × 3

                              = ₹ 22.5

then,

CP=₹ 22.5

SP=₹ 25

profit=₹ 25 - ₹ 22.5 = ₹ 2.5

∴ Gain % = \frac{gain}{CP} × 100

               = \frac{2.5}{22.5}*100

               = 11.11 %
