Some atoms, such as the atoms of noble/inert gases do not react with other elements because their outer shell is completely filled. They have achieved stable electronic configuration and hence they are unreactive. Examples of unreactive atoms are Helium, Krypton and Xenon.

atoms with noble configuration do not react as they are noble.all elements apart from noble elements are chemically reactive because they are more stable electronically when they share electrons with other atoms
