Georg Simmel is the German sociologist, he talked about various ideas in sociology which includes the following:
Dialectical thinking: This approach focused on thinking about things not only considering the present but also the future and the past. This method was more or less related to the relationships and how to interact with them.
Levels of concern: He focused on four levels of concern while people interact with each other, when there is an interaction going on there is a concern of psychological approach while we interact socially, secondly sociological aspect in interpersonal relationships, thirdly the structure and the changes of the mood while interacting and lastly the nature and fate of human race.
Sociability: In this theory, Simmel focuses on equality, that there should not be much difference in the way people interact there should be no element of individuality.
One of the most interesting ideas of Geroge Simmel was The Philosophy of Money, in this he highlighted what and why things are valuable for a certain individual if something is far away and is scarce and involves a lot of sacrifice in getting that particular thing is known as valuable.
There was another idea which focused on the Secrecy saying that if we are in a smaller group there is no need for secrets if we are in a larger group the things should be kept in secrecy. He even used this in the idea of marriage that in marriage there should be secrets as well because if everything is told there will be no excitement and fun.
