Some cuckoos and sparrows are sitting on a tree. If the sum of their legs is 36,find the number of cuckoos and the number of sparrows.​

let y be the number of cuckoos

so x+y=36

if no. of sparrows = no. of cuckoos

then, x=y

hence 2*times of cuckoos =36/2=18, if there are 18 cuckoos then each have 2 legs,then 18/2= 9 cuckoos

so there are 9 cuckoos and 9 sparrows..
