Investment: This refers to the investing of money or capital, with the purpose of receiving profit in return, on that investment.

This in done in various forms, like money, capital, assets, stocks, bonds, etc.

1- Local investment

This is the local or domestic investment made in order to get profit. It is the national investment made within the borders of a specific country/nation.

Example:

Adam investing in a public limited company, within Pakistan. If he is a resident of Pakistan, and hes investing money in a company which is registered in Pakistan. That is local investment.

Foreign Investment:

On the other hand, foreign investment refers to the capital flows from one country to another country. It is the monetary investment made, across borders.

Example:

Adam investing in a company abroad like, USA, so that is foreign investment.

This is related to developing an interest in the foreign business, also known as Foreign Direct Investment.
