Properties of pseudo-stratified epithelium are :-

*This tissue is a modification of the columnar epithelium which has long and short cells.

*Nucleus is present on different levels of the cells are thus appears to be bilayered.

*The name is pseudo whose meaning is false because it appears to be bilayered but actually it is unilayered.

*Some of the cells are very short to reach the surface while all the cells are present on the single basement layer.
