The examples of sexual reproduction are as follow :

Human being, Cats, Insects, Birds, Mammals, Fish, Reptiles, Amphibians, Dogs, Mollusks, Flowering plants.

Modes of Reproduction :

  1. Sexual Reproduction.
  2. Asexual Reproduction.

There are Two Modes of Reproduction :

1 Sexual Reproduction :

  • The production of a new animal by a existing two parents, by the fusion of their gametes, is called sexual reproduction.
  • It involves the fusion of male gamete with female gamete.
  • Which leads to formation of Zygote.
  • Then the Zygote grows in to New individual.

Sexual Reproduction in Animal :

  • Most animals reproduce by sexual reproduction, two parents-one male and one female is involved .
  • The have different reproduction organ.
  • The adult male produces sperms
  • The adult female produces female gametes called ovum or egg.

The process of production of gametes is called gametogenesis .

2. Asexual reproduction :

  • The production of new Organism by single parent without the involments of gametes is called asexual reproduction.
  • Since fusion of gametes is not involved.
  • Zygote is not formed.
  • The Young one produced is same copy of their parents.
  • Amoeba, Hydra, yeast are the examples.
