If you are ansking about tips then keep the following points always in mind:

• Collect more than sufficient information regarding the topic .
• Make it sure that whatever material you are carrying while a debate is up to the mark and not exceeding the limits of the topic you are given.
• If you are willing to win the debate then always be ready for the counter attack (ie.always be ready with your questions so that the opponent gets confused)
• If your opponent is speaking ...listen to him/her carefully so that you could point out mistakes or errors in his /her information and after he /she stops speaking , criticise his /her information.
• Be confident...listen to the questions (if any) asked by your opponent and then answer patiently after 1 or 2 seconds of thinking
• Neither be over active nor inactive.
• Always be ready to confuse the opponent but , use desired information and not irrelevant information.
• Last but not the least point ...When you think you are totally prepared to face your opponent, only then speak...don't speak unnecessarily.....
