◀The sonnet " Not Marble , Nor the Guilded Monuments " by " William Shakespeare " is a beautiful depiction of the power of literature and the sheer futility of time .

◀There is a beautiful use of different poetic devices .

Some of such instances are -

⚫ALLITERATION - When any consonant is repeated in a line it is called alliteration . Some of its instances in the sonnet are -

◽ When Wasteful Wars ( repetition of w sound )

◽shall statues overturn ( s is repeated )

⚫Personification - When any non living object is given human like qualities , it is said to be personified .

Some of its instances are

◻Time has been called immoral to show that it destroys everything that comes in its way.

◻The poets work has been referred as Living Record . Hence it is also personified .
