Some mangoes are purchased at the rate of 8 mangoes/rs

To find : net profit

Solution :

let the 1 rs invested in both the cases

therefore

In rs 2 number of mangoes purchased are

8 + 6 = 14 mangoes

thus 14 mangoes are purchased in Rs. 2

now ,

selling price of 14 mangoes  

since , quantity is sold at the rate of 3.5 mangoes/rs

thus ,

14\times \frac{1}{3.5}

= Rs. 4

therefore , selling price of 14 mangoes is Rs. 4

hence ,

It is a 100% profit  

net profit = 100%
