some Nationalist historians have called the revolt of 1857 the first war of independence however many modern historians refute this claim by saying that neither was it the first nor was it a war for independence what do they mean?

#It is not first war because more wars were fought before this. Example :War of Tipu Sultan.
#This war was not for independeance as it started with opposition to British ammnition as it was said that it was greased with pork and cow.
