The equator also passes through South America and some of the islands of Southeast Asia but not the Asian country. So technically I think South America and Asia are also experiencing the same seasons. However the South American part of the northern hemisphere and the Asian part of the southern hemisphere all lie in the tropics where there is no real seasonal difference. In the far north and north of Africa there are 4 identified seasons with long summer days and shorter winter days and so the only continent where you encounter conflicting seasons on different parts of the continent.
