Some of two number is 95. If one exceeds the other by 15 find the number?

Let the first no.be x
And ATQ ,,
The second no.will be (x+15)
X+(x+15) = 95
(2x) + 15 =95
2x = 95- 15
x = (95-15)/2
x = 70/2
x = 35
Hence the first no.is 35. And the second is (x+ 15)
35 +15 = 50..

let the two numbers be and and x > y.
given x= 95    ----------   1
and   = 15   ----------   2
⇒ x -15
substituting this in eq 1.

- 15 = 95
⇒ 2= 110
⇒ = 55
substituting it in eq 2.
 55 -  y = 15
= 40

Therefore the two numbers are 55 and 40.
