Subject: Depreciation in Our National Image Due to the Poor Time Management
Respected Sir,
Today, I want to raise an issue which is the burning question of the day. Sir, all of us have contributed to the phenomenon of defaming our nation at our individual levels intentionally or unintentionally. The fact that I want to bring into the spotlight is that we do not give due importance to the time; therefore we are lagging behind in terms of the moral and ethical code of conduct. It is on the basis of such certain traits that a nation is attributed to a desirable or undesirable status across the globe.
Sir, foreigners tend to look down upon us because of this negative trait. They prefer to hire people from other nationalities because of their punctuality. Same is the case with the entrepreneurs. Because of this collective national consciousness, we have to suffer from immense censure at the hands of the other nations.
In this regard, we need to prioritize the education and inculcation of punctuality at the national level. A national campaign can also be a good idea in this respect. Every person will have to play his role at the individual level. We, also, need to highlight the reasons behind this weakness i.e. lack of concern, lethargy, lack of moral concern, lack of conviction, lack of sense of duty, ethical depravity etc.
I anticipate that by realizing the gravity of the matter, you will write about it in your newspaper so that general awareness about this shortcoming may be given to our public and they may change their attitudes towards the time management in their day to day life.

Sir:
I am writing to your good self to express my deep concern over the problem of poor time management and general punctuality discipline among our countrymen.
Almost everything in our country gets delayed. Being late is considered normal; people while making schedules and time tables already assume that people will be late. Trains, flights, meetings, conferences, functions, programs, etc. usually start and end late. For us, the Indians, being late is just normal.
However, our country people don’t enjoy an agreeable image. As a result our country’s advancement suffers. The developmental projects get delayed by many years. Our defense forces projects also get delayed by many years.
Through the medium of your esteemed daily I appeal to the Government and people to start managing their time more earnestly and carefully. Our national development has direct connection with the collective time-management and punctuality of our country men. I hope my words will find some space in your daily. Thanking you.
