some parts of Maharashtra receive heavy rainfall while some receive less why?​

<body bgcolor=blue><marquee direction="up"><font color=white>      The districts that have received excessive rainfall are Nashik, Ahmednagar, Satara, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Raigad, Thane, Palghar, Mumbai city and Mumbai suburban, where more than 20 per cent of the actual rainfall was received.    The light rains are being caused by the wind convergence, i.e. the wind coming together and rising above the ground, effectively creating the water vapour within to cool, eventually condense into droplets, and possibly lead to rainfall.

Parts of maharashtra are situated in the leeward side of the western ghats and receive less rainfall while other parts which are in front of western ghats receive high rainfall by south west monsoon winds
