some people say that if we start living as our ancestors, we should conserve energy and our ecosystem full stop do you think this idea as feasible

No..altough living like our ancestors would help preserve energy but it would make our life difficult. The way of living of our ancestors is much primitive and living like them would prevent us from doing a lot in the world like.. The progress of science would be hindered...The ecological balance would be disturbed and so on.
Instead we should try to conserve energy by using renewable sources and minimising the use of fossil fuels which will provide better inhabitance for humans.

In some ways yes, and some no. They used considerably less energy / household, and how can that be a bad thing. But they really had no concept of "environmental impact" of any of their life decisions. They dumped anything everywhere, burned whatever they didn't want, sold unbelievably toxic chemicals to the general public, etc.

the idea of simple living and only using energy and chemicals when needed and in a safe manner is a good balance.
