Some plants have leaves purple in colours. Of course they perform photosynthesis because they contain a pigment called chlorophyll which carries out photosynthesis which generally gives leaves Thier exclusive green colour. But in some cases like that of spinach the concentration of coloured pigment is higher than that of the concentration of chlorophyll which leads to colour the leaves. But it doesn't anyway affect the process of photosynthesis. But all these is only true for autotrophic plants. Heterotrophic plants may have various colours but they didn't perform photosynthesis.
