During fall, the leaves of plants turn red, orange, yellow, and brown due to chlorophyll shortages. This is because there are more chemicals in leaves that make them colorful other than chlorophyll. For example, orange leaves are high in carotene, which is an orange pigment also found in carrots

hey mate here is your answer.......

some plants have yellow or orange leaves but contain green colour pigment called chlorophyll , but this green coloured pigment hides behind other colour pigments.

Thus, these plants have green colour pigment, they make their own food by the process of photosynthesis..

I hope it will help you...

thank you....:)
