Arithmetic mean of n observations = x1,x2....xn=X'
the next observations = x1+a,x2+a.....xn+a
arithmetic mean of the second observations =
→(x1+a+x2+a.....+xn+a)/n
→((x1+x2+x3.....+xn)+n(a))/n
→(x1+x2+x3+...xn)/n + n(a)/n
→X'+a
the next observations = x1+a,x2+a.....xn+a
arithmetic mean of the second observations =
→(x1+a+x2+a.....+xn+a)/n

I understood most of it but why did you add n(a) /n in the third last line?
actually... every single term had a added to them

so if i add "a" 888 times then i can write it as (888)(a)
