Arithmetic mean of n observations = x1,x2....xn=X'

the next observations = x1+a,x2+a.....xn+a

arithmetic mean of the second observations =
→(x1+a+x2+a.....+xn+a)/n
→((x1+x2+x3.....+xn)+n(a))/n
→(x1+x2+x3+...xn)/n + n(a)/n
→X'+a

shimmeringstars100: could you explain it in a more detailed manner?I'd be really grateful :)
DarkOverlord: sorry i did wrong on the first go...
DarkOverlord: refer to my edited version pls!
DarkOverlord: and leme know if u have any doubt :)
shimmeringstars100: I understood most of it but why did you add n(a) /n in the third last line?
DarkOverlord: actually... every single term had a added to them
shimmeringstars100: oh no nevermind I understood. thankyou so much! :)
DarkOverlord: so if i add "a" 888 times then i can write it as (888)(a)
DarkOverlord: ok cool :)
