1. Charles Wood here claimed that Indian educational system needs to include the "improved arts" like philosophy, arts, and literature that were being taught in European countries. The Europeans were more skilled in these categories than the New World countries.

So Charles Wood suggested to bring those particular forms of education in Indian education system.

2. The British encouraged the spread of European learning in India to influence more people into believing in their culture and in their sovereignty. As they were colonizing that time, they were slowly taking weak and unaware colonized people under their monopolistic rule.
