Some say the world will end in fire
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire.

(b) According to the poet, the world, will end due to the ‘fire’, which symbolises desire. But if the world had to end twice then it will be due to the hatred symbolises ‘ice’. The poet feels that there is enough hatred in the world that is spreading among the people.
