me bus had to reduce its speed by 5 km/hr and

Answer: Time for onward

journey=300/X.

Return Journey=300/X-5

3oo/x-5-3oo/x=2

300x-3oo(x-5)=2(x-5) x

300x-300x +1500 = 12x^2-10x

1500 = 2x^2-10x

2x^2-10x-1500 =o

x^2-5x-750=0

(x-30) (x +25)=0

x=30

Time taken to return

= 300/X-5=300/25=12hrs
