Answer:Yes

Explanation:

Some constituencies of our country are reserved for;

In India there are weaker section of society {tribes} as they were not in contact with the major section of society. So, there are backward group of people, so these seats are reserved for the a person from that tribe community and no general people can stand for election of this region and this makes them equal with other people living in other regions and these led to empower them and save them from discrimination.

In India there are weaker castes which have discriminated from many years (even before the independence and even before the British enter the India. So, for saving these people from getting discriminated from the people of higher caste there are certain constituencies reserved so that these people can send there representative for highlighting there problem. So, that government can help them for being equal to rest of citizens of our country. And from these seats no person from general caste can stand for election or else will be given punishment.

Hope it helps!!:-):-)

Weaker sections in society are marginalized in many ways. The weaker section refers to that group of people who are denied social and cultural opportunities. Their backwardness can be because of economic and caste status. Scheduled caste and scheduled tribes are included here. The Constitution (Art. 46) presents that the state shall promote with special care the educational and economic interests of the weaker sections of the people, mainly of Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes.
