Subject: Neglect faced by the elderly.
Dear Sir,
I would like to bring to your kind attention about the sorry plight of the elderly living in and around my area. I am from Pitam Pura and I have witnessed a number of incidents where children drove out their own parents. The parents were old, and wouldn't be able to do anything on their own but taking none of their fragility and old age into consideration, the sons/ daughters just in one incident threw out their parents on the streets.
This shouldn't be the way parents are treated and they definitely did not deserve it too. I am writing this out of concern and also wanted to see if your newspaper will make a point of highlighting this sorry plight of the older generations, especially in my locality.
Hoping for a positive response from you.
Thanking you.
Regards,
Harsha
