Column 2 of the Table suggest the manner in which a force can be applied on each object with Column 3 show a diagram of the action. Try to observe the effect of force in as many situations as possible. You can also add similar situation using available material from your environment. Let "change in state of motion" be CSM and "change in shape" be CS.
By CSM, they mean to question if the object is being moved from on place to another, that is, is it in MOTION ( or is there any movement).
secondly, CS is,upon applying the force, will that force change the overall or slight shape of the OBject.
1.CSM - no, CS-yes
2 CSM - yes, CS-no, A spring bounces or moves up anddown on applying force (by sitting on the seat). the shape is not changed.
