Answer: 12 students went to the picnic

Step-by-step explanation:

Total money collected =Rs. 2400

Money Spent = Rs. 1800

Money not spent = Rs. 2400- Rs. 1800 = Rs. 600

Number of absent students = 4

Money per student = \dfrac{600}{4} = Rs. 150

Now ,

\text {Student went to picnic }= \dfrac{\text {Money spent}}{\text {Money per student} }\\\\= \dfrac{1800}{150} = 12

Hence, 12 students went to the picnic
