Solution :-

→ Distance travelled = 10(1/2) km = (21/2)km

→ Time taken = 1(3/4) hours = (7/4) hours .

so,

→ Distance coverd in (7/4) hours = (21/2) km

then,

→ Distance covered in 1 hour = (21/2) / (7/4) = (21/2) * (4/7) = 6 km (Ans.)

Hence, at same rate they hike 6 km in 1 hour .
