According to question

600/x-10 - 600/x = 5. ( x-10 because ₹ 10 increase on every one head )

600x- 600x + 6000/ x²- 10x = 5

6000= 5( x²-10x )

6000= 5x²-50x

5x²-50x-6000=0

Divided by 5

x²-10x- 1200= 0

x² -40x + 30x- 1200=0

x( x-40) + 30( x-40) =0

then we get

(x-40)=0 and x+30=0

x= 40 and x= -30 ( neglected)

Total students be x that is 40

Remaining students after denied 5 students (x-5)= 40-5= 35 ans..
