I reside in Kandivali near the water municipal department. I write to drag your attention towards the water wastage from the public tap near our locality.
The government has installed several public taps to overcome the water shortage of the general public. But it is very sad to inform that these taps are continuously leaking and several litres of water is wasted every day due to ignorance. I request you to conduct awareness programmes among the local community, regularly check for leaks in pipes, hoses, and faucets and even change the taps permanently that have been causing water waste.
