some times when we see a small part of tubelight it appears as rainbow colours why ?

  • When light reflects off or passes through something with many small ridges or scratches, you often get rainbow colors and interesting patterns. These are called interference patterns.

Because in actual , white light is composed of all the seven colours (rainbow colours).

And when the light passes through optically denser medium then, the light rays bends thus , splitting the white light into seven colours.
