Let the number of toffees be x
1. Rate of 11 for Rs 10
No. of toffees = x
And cost = 10×(x/11) = 10x/11 Rs
2. Rate of 9 for Rs 10
No. of toffees = x
Cost = 10 ×(x/9) = 10x/9 Rs
Total cost = (10x/11)+ (10x/9)
= (90x+110x)/99 = 200x/99 Rs
Total toffees = x+x = 2x
sold at the rate of 1 Rs per toffee
S.P = 1×2x = 2x Rs

Now ;
C.P = (200x/99)
S.P = 2x
Loss amount = (200/99)x - 2x
= (200x - 198x)/99
= 2x/99
Loss %
= (loss amount/C.P) × 100
= (2x/99)×(99/200)x×100
= 1 %
