In this poem somebody's mother the poet Mary Dow brine explain how an old lady who was ragged and grey, Bent with cold winters day stood beside the street with her age and slow feet who was standing and anxiously waiting for someone to come and help her to cross the road,
but no one cared to help her. suddeny down the street,
she heard laughed and shout of some children who were coming like a flock of sheeps.
They were glad in the freedom because the school was let off. All the children passed away from the old woman but no one thought of helping her Atlast a group of children come near to her, They were very happy, among the one boy stopped near the old woman and ask the women if she need any help the old woman kept your hand on the arms of the boy and cross the road.
After that the boy happily went with his friends.
The boy told his friends that today I have helped somebody's mother who was age poor and slow and I hope someday any of them can help my mother when she will be in the same position.
In return the old woman also went home bowed head and prayed for god,
oh God please be kind to the noble boy helped me, today for his pride and joy because he is also.
