Step-by-step explanation:

let the width be x

length=twice its width = 2x

perimeter of rectangle=72m

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

2(2x+x)=72m

2(3x)=72m

3x=36 so x=12m x is the width so width=12m and the length is twice so it is equal to 24m therefore length and width are 24m and 12m respectively
