Someone please answer. This is my second time asking...
For combined contraceptive pills, they contain a synthetic oestrogen and progesterone.
Since progesterone inhibits FSH & LH, why is oestrogen needed? Oestrogen stimulates LH...

Answer:

Explanation:

because during the intake of contraceptive pills that inhibts the strength of the sex hormone of the girl . because of this there will be no periods for many months

so there will be the pain in the hip part of the body

liaente: I understand this part but why can't only progesterone be taken if it inhibits both of the hormones? I don't get why Oestrogen is used as it stimulates one of them.
arunbanuganesh090: progesterone has the low quantity of the LH . it is not enough to make a recovery so we are comple to take oestrogen
liaente: But doesn't oestrogen stimulate the release of an egg?
arunbanuganesh090: no while we take progesterone the oestrogen is impossible to realse a egg
liaente: Thanks so much, last question just to clear things up. So why can't we only just take progesterone? I know you said it has a low quantity of LH but isn't that the point that people don't want their eggs to be released?
arunbanuganesh090: ya
liaente: alright xD so sorry, thanks for the help!
