Given equation,

y + 3/2 = 5

Now, there can be two ways or methods,

1. ( 2y + 3 )/2 = 5

=> 2y + 3 = 10

=> 2y = 7

=> y = 7/2

2. y = 5 - 3/2

=> y = ( 10 - 3 )/2

=> y = 7/2

Hence,

Answer = 7/2

AnswEr :

\implies \large \bold{ y + \frac{3}{2}  = 5}

\implies \large \bold{y = 5 -  \frac{3}{2} }

\implies \large \bold{y =  \frac{(10 - 3)}{2} }

\implies \large \bold{y =  \huge \frac{7}{2} }
