in triangle DXA and triangle BCY

angle DAX. = angle BCY. (alternate interior angle)

AX=YC (given)

DX=BY. (equal side of parallelogram BXDY.)

therefore triangle ADX and triangle BCY are congruent by the {ASA} congruence rule

in triangle AXB and triangle DCY

XB=BY. {equal side of parallelogram BXDY}

angle CDY=angle BAC. (alternate interior angle)

AX=CY. (given)

therefore triangle A X B and triangle DCY are congruent by { SAS } congruence rule.
