taking log both side

∴log(x^y.y^x)=log5

∴logx^y+logy^x=log5

∴ylogx+xlogy=log5

(dy/dx)logx+y/x +logy+(x/y)dy/dx=0

(dy/dx){logx+x/y} = - {logy+y/x}

dy/dx = -[{logy+y/x}/{logx+x/y}]
