Rate of water flow = 3km/h= (3000/60) m/min =50 m/min

Depth (h) of river = 2 m

Width (b) of river = 45 m

Volume of water flowed in 1 min = Rate of water flow * depth of river * width of river = 50*2*45 = 4500 m3

Hence, in 1 minute, 4500 m3 water will fall in the sea.
(alternative)

3000/60 = 300/6 = 50 m/min

3 km/hr = 3000m/hr = 3000/60 = 50 m/minute

Breadth = 45 m

Length = 50m

Height = 2m

Amount Of Water = Volume

Volume = Length*Breadth*Height

=>45*50*2

=> 90*50

=> 4500 m3

I hope this will help you

Saykasayyed: 2×45=90
Saykasayyed: 90÷3=30
Saykasayyed: So answer is 30
ImAPhoneix: True

Hey dude..

Here's your answer:

area of cross section of river= 2 x 45 = 90 m^2

so, water flowing into the sea= area of cross section x rate of flowing water

                                               = 90 x 3000

                                               = 270000 m^3

there water flowing per minute= 270000 / 60 = 4500 m^3

ImAPhoneix: That's okay.. beast absolutely fine
