a) Tendril of watermelon is the stem modification.
stem tendrils develop from the axillary buds which are slender and spirally coiled and help plants to climb on to the walls.
b) Thorn of citrus is also a stem modification.
axillay buds of stem get modified into the woody, straight and pointed thorns.
