Answer:

equivalent resistance is 2/3R

Explanation:

in fig 1st and 2nd resistance circuit is in series and we find out there series resistance and then the series resistance is parallel to another and at last we put the formula for parallel resistance and finnally we get our answer

AnsWer :

Total Equivalent Resistance be 2R/3 .

Concepts Required :

  • Series Connection - When Resistance move only one path it said to be series of Resistance.

  • Parallel Connection - When Resistance move two or more different direction it said to be parallel of Resistance.

Solution :

  • In Series Connection.

 \begin{aligned}  R_s&  = R_1 + R_2........R_n.  \\& = R + R. \\ & = 2R. \end{aligned}

Now,

  • In Parallel Connection.

 \begin{aligned} \frac{1}{R_p}& =  \frac{1}{R_1} +  \frac{1}{R_3} + ......... \frac{1}{R_n} \\ & =  \frac{1}{2R}  +  \frac{1}{R}  \\ & =  \frac{3}{2R} \\R_p & =  \frac{2R}{3}    \end{aligned}

Therefore, the value of equivalent Resistance be 2R/3.
