Someone throws a heavy ball to you when you are standing on roller skates. You
catch it and roll backwards. How does your speed compare to the speed of the ball, and why?

Answer:

Actually the friction received by the roller skates is less and so the final movementum of the roller skates will be more than the initial movementum of the skates and the person.

Hope this helps you .
