Someone went to Subway and ordered an assorted combo. When they went to fill up his Coke at the pop machine it came out looking kind of clear without much flavoring in it. a) Did they get a Coke that was more dilute or more concentrated than a regular Coke? What would it taste like. Why?

The reason for the difference between the 'fizz' in Coke and Diet Coke is the same reason Diet Coke exists: It's the sugar. Sugar both increases viscosity and surface tension, allowing regular Coke to form larger bubbles that are weaker and pop faster.
