)Frictional force always acts always opposite to the direction of motion. Force of friction will be always parallel to the surfaces in contact.

)For a given two surface, sliding friction is slightly lesser than that of the static friction because it is easy to move the object which already in motion than the object which is at rest.

)Sportsmen use shoes witli spikes because these shoes give them a better grip while running. This is because the force of friction between the shoes and the ground increases with the help of spikes.

)we generally Sprinkle a little talcum powder on a carrom board BECAUSE it reduces the force of friction between the striker and the board of carrom. it allows the striker to move freely and swiftly and can slide from each other.

)The frictional force on an object in a fluid depends on its "shape, nature and speed " with respect to the fluid.
