It stops the growth of small plants it takes co2 of small plants it prevents sunlight to reach to small plant which led to stop of growth and small plant cant make their food and die so never grow any plant closer to each and never grow small plant

Animals which are dependent on these plants ( herbivores) will not be able to get food and will get weak day by day.
