Coalitions result from two or more parties merging together to govern a nation. This may due to contested elections or mutual agreement between the parties involved. One of the disadvantages of these coalitions is policy paralysis where parties cannot come to a consensus on something due to varying opinions. People will have different outlooks to issues and thus the more people involved the more the likelihood of having more views and thus not reaching a consensus.
