Herbivores sometime eat excessive amount of plants and grass.By this the upper layer or the layer that is rich in humus is opened in the surrounding and it can be easily eroded by the winds and water.etc.

Due to overgrazing

Explanation:

  • Soil erosion is the natural process which takes place when the upper layer 10-20 cm layer of the soil is eroded or is displaced.
  • There could be many factors responsible for the soil erosion one of which is the overgrazing.
  • When the herbivores overeat the grassland and plants then it leads to the loosening of the soil and the soil is displaced easily.
  • This soil erosion displaces the fertile soil of the field and thus will lead to the permanent loss of vegetation in that area.
