Sometimes,higher plants and animals too perform anaerobic respiration.. why?

1. Anaerobic respiration means a respiration done in absence of oxygen.
2. It is performed by many organisms mainly during exercise.
3. During exercising aur body requires more oxygen.
4. But it doesn't be able to get much oxygen this is the reason why many plants and organism do anaerobic respiration.

Yes in shortage of oxygen higher plants and animal rezpire anaerobically because
during \: vigorous \:  muscular \: activities \\  \: more \: amount \: of \: oxygen \:   is  \\ \: needed \: however \: oxygen \: supply  \\ \: remain \: unchanged \: in \: shortage  \\ \: the \: muscles \: begin \: to \: respire \\  \: anaerobically.
