Answer:

i) The lines are uttered by the spirit of Mrs Fitzgerald who speaks through Mrs Pearson to her son Cyril.

ii) Mrs Fitzgerald who was acting as Mrs Pearson has hurt the feelings of her husband George by telling her truth. She tells her son that it is important to tell the truth even if it doesn't sound fair or hurts someone because one needs to face the truth. The truth was that everyone at the club called George Pearson 'Pompy-ompy Pearson' behind his back and laughed at him. Pearson did not know the truth so he would still go to the club in spite of his presence being unwelcome there.

iii) the main behind the speakers stern behaviour was that why her husband George want to spend so much time at club where people are always laughing at him behind his back and calling his names. He leaves his wife alone every night. she wouldn't make you look like ful if she went out with them
