Sometimes our footwear may stick on floor tiles?why
Answers
Very often, we find our footwear stuck to the floor tiles, and it takes a fair amount of pressure before we are able to pull it off. This can be caused due to a pressure difference between the two surfaces.
It is based on the mechanism behind suction cups. When we place our footwear on the floor at an odd angle, a low pressure is created between the floor and the footwear. The high pressure above the footwear pushes it down on to the floor, and it takes a lot force to even this pressure difference.
"Sometimes, our footwear may stick on the floor tiles because of the improper installation of tiles.
When our footwear stick on the floor, it is called as tile lifting. Tile lifting is due to improper tile installation which makes loose connections of tile with concrete.
The loose connections of the tile can also be due to the moisture of atmosphere or water leakage as it reduces the grip of tile with concrete and when we walk on such tiles, we feel sticky. So, overall tile lifting is due to improper connections of tile with the surface. "
